This elegant Mid-Century Modern vase was realized by the fabled Italian glass atelier, Barbini, circa 1960. Hand blown in Murano, Italy, the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production, the vase features an hourglass form in a textural powder blue craqueleur glass. The center of the piece is circumscribed with organic circular embellishments in cerulean and java tones. With its austere silhouette and beautiful craftsmanship, this piece is sure to delight collectors of first rate Murano glass, as well as those with a penchant for exquisite objects. The piece retains its original label reading "Barbini" and is in excellent vintage condition.
