This elegant Art Deco sculpture was realized in the Czech Republic- renowned for producing some of the world's finest porcelain, sterling and glass products during this period- circa 1930. It features a hand painted nude lady with blonde hair running with a greyhound astride- all created in porcelain. She holds a ball painted in 24-karat gold leaf, apparently in the act of playing catch with her dog. This gilt recurs in the hair clip attached to her blonde head of hair. Elegantly proportioned, dynamic and elegant, this piece is sure to delight discerning Art Deco collectors, as well as those interested in a beautiful sculpture iconically representative of the era's aesthetic sensibility. Excellent condition.
