Kiln-formed large Urbium pink glass grand ellipse oval art glass bowl. The glass color has been specially formulated by glass artist Jeffrey Andrews to coordinate with a pre-existing chandelier installation by Dale Chihuly. Jeffrey Andrews studied architecture and design under Hans Schroeder and has created interiors, glass art, and furniture for clients including Herman Miller as well as designing a contemporary residence next door to David Letterman. He created Felt glass Studio in 1990 and has exhibited his work internationally. He is a renowned glass artist who attended Pilchuck Glass School and taught glass making at Esalen Institute. In addition to many private commissions, felt glass has been sold at Barneys NY, Saks Fifth Avenue, Gumps and Neiman Marcus. Museum stores like the Guggenheim and the American Craft Museum have also exhibited Felt glass. Felt glass has been featured in Gourmet, The New York Times, Bon Appetit and Brides.
