This elegant pair of Art Deco slipper chairs were realized in America, circa 1940, by the legendary designer Gilbert Rohde. They feature curved back rests with five pairs of buttons stacked vertically that attach to the circular seat with gently rounded tops and piping detailing around the edges. The chairs sit on klismos style feat with volumetric rectangular hind legs and conical front legs. They have been newly reupholstered in smoked platinum velvet. With their austere geometric forms and timeless aesthetic, these chairs are as versatile as they are aesthetically appealing, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Deco to contemporary. They have been restored to mint condition.
