This gorgeous and important game table was realized by Karl Springer- one of the most esteemed designers of the 20th Century. Springer was known for reviving classic Art Deco designs with bold proportions and exotic finishes. He liked, in his words, the materials to be "really out there, screaming." This refined game table features angular legs with streamlined exteriors and geometric right angled interiors. It is covered in luxe ostrich skin of an antique bone hue and offers a square brass inlay in the centre. This piece emblematizes Springer's clarity of classical form infused with late midcentury verve. This is a rare and stunning piece, signed on verso "Karl Springer 1983." Excellent vintage condition.
